I Love Rain

It may seem crazy, it may seem counterintuitive, but I love the rain.  That, apparently makes me a pluviophile, while sounds bad.

Also, a sapiophile apparently, which is someone who is attracted to intelligence.

A pluviophile is someone whole loves rain, so that's okay I guess.

A lot of people find grey skies depressing and dull, but frankly, especially in summer, I really don't
mind the break from the heat and sweaty nights.

I would like moderate warm days and rainy nights if I had my pick.

Rain at night is like a soul massage and it just completely relaxes me and helps me to sleep.

Bring on the wet.

Why Tv Is Not That Bad

They say TV rots the brain and is the root of many evils, but could it really be that bad?

What if we are just a little too harsh on it and actually tried to look at the positives for a change?

We've been told forever that watching tv lowers intelligence.  It's not always true, though.

For one, we know that there are many intellectually stimulating shows on television.  National geographic has a channel, discovery, there's a crime channel, and a history channel.

All in all, there are some pretty heavy-hitting shows that can teach us many things.

But let's assume we are not watching educational shows, could normal TV be that bad?

Our brains do not switch off and turn to mush when we watch tv, in fact, it does stimulate the mind and can lead to increased learning and knowledge acquisition.

A myriad of interactions, twisting plots, a variety of cultural norms, and divergences mean that TV in no small way can actually educate us and stimulate the brain.

Too many people are quick to point to the negatives of television, but what about the positives as we can further assure ourselves of what cultural norms are and be more aware, possibly even more so in the time given.

You can witness a lot in a one-hour show.

Don't put the book down just yet, but also don't be too quick to judge.

How Many Vegetables Are Too Many

Vegetables are an important part of your diet, but then you knew that.

Some people get a little too enthusiastic and find they have er, um, more regularity than they would like.

Too many vegetables will have you looking for the nearest bathroom where ever you are and that can be a problem.

Two serves with every meal is more than enough to give you the vitamins and minerals you need, not to mention the fiber.  Remember that too much fiber is going to upset your stomach and make you pay.

Some people are more sensitive to fiber and some aren't, but more than 8 serves in a day could mean you're getting double your recommended daily fiber intake.

Yeah, that's not gonna be pretty.

You should take care to ensure a balanced diet of protein, fiber, and dense nutrition in order to keep calories at a reasonable level.
